Quality issues get scattered across spreadsheets

Spreadsheets, email threads, and shared drives work for a while. They start to struggle when several people are chasing actions, evidence, approvals, and customer updates.

Actions get lost

Owners and due dates live in inboxes and side conversations.

Evidence is scattered

Photos, emails, and files sit in folders no one can find.

Customer updates take too long

Status checks turn into a round of chasing every time.

Reports are rebuilt by hand

Each 8D starts from a copied spreadsheet all over again.

Manage a quality issue from first report to closure

8Dflow manages issue records, actions, evidence, approvals, and reviewed reports alongside your existing QMS.

Maintain a quality issue register

The quality issue register covers customer complaints, NCRs, supplier issues, returns, defects, and repeat problems. Each record shows the owner, status, part, customer or supplier, and due date.

  • Customer, supplier, and internal records
  • Owner, status, part, customer or supplier, and due date
  • Review related actions and evidence from the issue record

Verify the action, then review whether it worked

Each corrective action shows the owner, due date, evidence, verification result, effectiveness review, and closure decision.

  • Separate containment from corrective action
  • Verify the action was completed as planned
  • Review effectiveness before closure
Product concept — corrective actions

Attach evidence to the issue and action

Attach existing inspection records, measurements, photos and other evidence to the relevant issue or action, along with customer emails, supplier responses, and PDFs.

  • Existing inspection records, measurements, and photos
  • Customer emails and supplier responses
  • Evidence ready for review before closure
Product concept — evidence

Prepare the final report before it goes to the customer

Build the customer report from the issue record, including the problem description, occurrence cause, escape or detection weakness, corrective actions, evidence, verification and effectiveness review. Review it before anything is sent.

  • Reviewed 8D PDF covering D1–D8
  • CAR, SCAR, and corrective-action summaries
  • Human review before anything is shared

Excel works until follow-up becomes hard to control

Excel is familiar, flexible, and often enough for a small list of open actions. It becomes harder to manage when several owners, due dates, evidence files, comments, status updates, and customer responses are involved.

Questions about 8Dflow and early access

What happens when I join early access?

Joining early access means we’ll let you know when 8Dflow enters private beta, so you can be among the first to try it in the coming months.

Is 8Dflow a full QMS?

No. 8Dflow is quality control software for manufacturers that need a practical way to manage nonconformances, corrective actions, 8D reports, NCRs, CARs and SCARs. It works alongside your existing quality system rather than trying to replace a full QMS.

Do suppliers log in or upload evidence directly?

No. 8Dflow tracks supplier requests internally. Suppliers continue to send responses through your existing channels; they do not log in or upload through an 8Dflow supplier portal.

When is 8Dflow a better fit than an 8D spreadsheet?

A spreadsheet can remain practical for a small list managed by one person. 8Dflow is being built for the point where several owners, changing due dates, evidence files, reviews and customer updates must stay connected through closure.
